Utah Governor Spencer Cox Announces the 14th Annual Utah Pacific Island Heritage Month in the State of Utah.
In 2012, Governor Gary Herbert officially declared August Utah Pacific Island Heritage Month.
This month is filled with events and activities to engage the Pacific Island community and celebrate the unique history of Pacific Islanders within Utah as well as the community’s contributions to the state.
This month is also an opportunity for the wider community to be educated and participate in the festivities that recognize the significance of the Pacific Islander community to Utah’s unique cultural ecosystem.
